CINCINNATI, OH, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Child Neurology Foundation (CNF) and Parent to Parent USA (P2P USA) today announced they are expanding their existing relationship into coordinated work designed to connect more families with one-to-one peer support and broaden access to education.

The collaboration will begin in two areas. CNF and P2P USA will work to make it easier for families connected to CNF to find P2P Alliance Member programs and trained Support Parents in their communities. P2P USA will help extend the reach of CNF’s educational tools through its network, while both organizations identify learning opportunities for families and caregivers and help healthcare professionals better understand the role of peer support and effective referrals.

Through this first phase, the organizations aim to make education and peer support easier to navigate as families’ needs change and to give healthcare professionals clearer ways to connect them with both.

The announcement builds on established connections between the organizations. CNF is a Friend of Parent to Parent USA, and P2P USA is a member of CNF’s Neurology Social Services Network, which connects organizations across the neurology community to coordinate support, strengthen referrals, share knowledge, and advocate for the needs of the people and families they serve.

“CNF’s national presence and Parent to Parent USA’s locally rooted programs are a powerful combination,” said Marsha Quinn, Executive Director of Parent to Parent USA. “We complement one another in ways that can expand our reach and impact while allowing each organization to build on what it already does well. Beginning with family support and education gives us a thoughtful place to start.”

The partnership framework outlines six shared goals. The first phase centers on Goal 1, access to trained peer support, and Goal 5, education and professional development. Initial efforts will focus on family support and education.

“Together, CNF and Parent to Parent USA bring national and community-level experience that can strengthen care and support across the country,” said Kim Hindery, CEO of the Child Neurology Foundation. “This collaboration gives us an opportunity to connect more people with education and peer support informed by both professional expertise and lived experience.”

As the collaboration develops, CNF and P2P USA will also explore funding opportunities that could support implementation of the initial priorities and future phases of the framework.

Goals 1 and 5 mark the beginning of a broader framework spanning transition of care, early family support, peer mentoring, research, and advocacy. CNF and P2P USA will share updates as these initial priorities move forward and help shape the next areas of collaboration.
