Applied Biologics Receives Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Certification

Federal certification recognizes veteran ownership and strengthens Company’s ability to expand partnerships across federal healthcare and government markets

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Applied Biologics, a biopharmaceutical company advancing novel therapies for serious diseases with significant unmet medical needs, today announced that it has received certification as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Veteran Small Business Certification program.

The federal certification recognizes Applied Biologics as a qualifying service-disabled veteran-owned business and expands the Company’s ability to participate in federal procurement opportunities available to certified SDVOSBs.

Applied Biologics has an established presence in federal healthcare through its Federal Supply Schedule activities and XWRAP®, the Company’s advanced wound care technology used as a wound cover in the management of chronic wounds and as a tissue-plane barrier during surgical procedures. The SDVOSB certification provides an additional foundation for the Company’s continued engagement with the Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal healthcare and government organizations.

Britt served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and flew the F/A-18 Hornet with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232 (VMFA-232). He joined the Board of Directors of Applied Biologics in 2013 and became Chief Executive Officer in 2014.
